Bahawalpur (Staff Report): Every year on September 30th, International Translation Day is observed worldwide to honor the remarkable contributions of translators who bridge the gaps between languages, cultures, and people. To mark this occasion, the Department of Translation Studies at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized a seminar.

Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq ul Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Learning, emphasized that translation goes beyond mere word conversion; it involves capturing the essence, nuances, and beauty of one language and making it accessible in another.

Other speakers highlighted that translators are the often-overlooked heroes behind our beloved books, movies, and global communication.

They serve as gateways to diverse cultures, enabling us to explore various perspectives, stories, and ideas. Without their invaluable work, our world would be much smaller and less interconnected.

On this special day, faculty and students at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur express their gratitude to the talented translators who use their skills to promote understanding and unity across the globe.
