Islamabad (Khyber Mail): The 2023 Yellow River Tourism Overseas Promotion Season has been officially launched in Pakistan by the China Cultural Center in Pakistan through their various social media platforms, including Facebook Official Page, WeChat, Channels, and the Twitter account of Cultural Counsellor and Director of China Cultural Center in Pakistan, H.E. Zhang Heqing.
The event, which will run from July through September 2023, aims to strengthen cultural ties and promote tourism opportunities along the iconic Yellow River.
The Yellow River Tourism Overseas Promotion Season is organized globally under the guidance of the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation, the Department of Industrial Development, the Department of Resource Development of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Department of International Cooperation of the State Administration of Radio and Television. The event is in collaboration with nine provincial and regional departments of Culture and Tourism from Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Henan, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, and Ningxia.
The promotion season features a variety of exhibitions and documentaries, including the documentary series “The Great Yellow River Delta” and “Sing along the Yellow River.” A photography exhibition titled “Explore the Yellow River, Discover Beautiful China” showcases the scenic beauty and cultural resources of the regions along the Yellow River, highlighting Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Henan, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, and Ningxia.
As part of the Yellow River Tourism Season, nine selected routes have been launched to showcase the diverse attractions in each region traversed by the famous river. These routes offer a unique glimpse into the rich history, heritage, and natural beauty that the Yellow River regions have to offer. Additionally, five selected rural tourist routes take visitors on a deeper exploration of the charming villages along the Yellow River.
The Yellow River, known as the cradle of ancient Chinese civilization, holds significant cultural significance, and the event aims to revive and promote the Yellow River’s rich heritage. The initiative also aims to foster cultural exchanges between China and Pakistan and provide Pakistani audiences with a comprehensive understanding of the Yellow River’s historical importance.
The launch of the Yellow River Tourism Overseas Promotion Season further deepens the cultural bonds between Pakistan and China and opens doors for potential collaboration in the tourism sector, enhancing mutual understanding and appreciation of each other’s cultural treasures.
