KARACHI (Khyber Mail):The launching ceremony of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Complex took place in DHA City Karachi on February 10, 2024. The event was graced by Chairman PEC, Engr Muhammad Najeeb Haroon, who served as the chief guest. Distinguished guests included Lt Gen Retd Moazzam Ejaz HI (M), Vice Chairman PEC (Sind) Engr Mukhtar Ali Shaikh, members of PEC and the Regional Building Committee, as well as consultants, builders, and developers from DEFCLARIA and ABAD group.

During the ceremony, Administrator DHA City, Brigadier Sohail Imtiaz, emphasized the collaboration with PEC as a significant step toward progress, positivity, and optimism. He highlighted that this initiative would not only enhance footfall in DHA City Karachi but also contribute to the vision of a better life through education and healthcare.

Vice Chairman PEC, Engr Mukhtar Ali Shaikh, expressed appreciation for the rapid development in DHA City, making it an attractive investment destination. He expressed complete trust in the DHA City administration. The streamlined one-window operation facilitated efficient negotiations and land allotment within a remarkably short period of two weeks. Engr Shaikh assured the audience that PEC would soon commence construction work, with Rupees one billion already allocated for the project.

Chairman PEC, Engineer Muhammad Najeeb Haroon, and Rector NUTECH, Lt Gen ® Moazzam Ejaz, provided visionary guidance for the successful completion of the project. They commended the ongoing collaboration between the engineering fraternity and DHA City. Notably, the rapid progress on the Malir Expressway and the M9/N5 Link Road was acknowledged as a game-changer. Looking ahead, as Karachi expands along the Super Highway Axis toward Hyderabad, DHA City is poised to serve as a vital gateway to the city.

This event marks the beginning of a new era of collaboration between DHA City and educational institutions in Pakistan, with the Pakistan Engineering Council playing a leading role.
