Bahawalpur (Khyber Mail): Students from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur made their mark at the International Culture and Arts Festival held at Sichuan Agricultural University, China. The event saw participation from students across eleven countries, making it a truly global platform.

The Pakistani team, which included students who received scholarships through the MoU between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Sichuan Agricultural University, showcased the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan. The display included traditional Pakistani attire, jewellery, handicrafts, mehndi designs, local dishes, and cultural dances.

The students and management of Sichuan Agricultural University expressed their appreciation for the cultural heritage of Pakistan. In a testament to their outstanding performance, the team representing Pakistan was declared the winner of the cultural festival.

Among the participants from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur were Rabia Tahir, Sameera Naseer, Tahmina Kausar, and Umar Arshad. Their efforts were lauded by Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf, Director of Student Affairs, and Dr. Abid Hussain Shahzad, Director of International Linkages at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. They praised the students for their successful effort to highlight the country’s culture in a prominent way.

This victory is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan and the talent of its youth. The students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur have indeed made their country proud.
