ISLAMABAD, (Agencies): Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, has emerged as the leading university in Pakistan and has secured the 315th position globally, as per the QS Subject Ranking 2024, reflecting its commitment to academic excellence.
The university has distinguished itself with remarkable performances in various disciplines, reinforcing its status as a top-tier higher education institution in Pakistan. The departments of Mathematics, Statistics & Operational Research, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, and Biological Sciences have achieved global rankings between 201 and 351, and have topped in Pakistan in their respective subjects. The Pharmacy & Pharmacology department has also made its mark by securing the 201st position globally and the 2nd position in Pakistan.
Furthermore, the Environmental Sciences and Agriculture & Forestry departments have achieved a global ranking between 251 and 450. The Computer Science & Information System, Economics & Econometrics, and Business & Management Studies departments have also secured impressive rankings (351-451) according to the QS Subject Ranking 2024.
