Toronto (Agencies) – A tragic incident unfolded in Toronto’s Don Mills area on Monday afternoon, where a shooting in an office building lobby resulted in three fatalities.
Around 3:30 p.m., near Don Mills Road and Mallard Road, residents were startled by the sound of gunfire. Initial reports from Toronto police indicated three injuries, with no immediate transports from the scene, as per Global News.
However, the situation took a grim turn as authorities later confirmed the deaths of three adults. Toronto police Det. Sgt Al Bartlett, addressing the media on Monday evening, revealed that two men and a woman were among the deceased. He withheld their identities but disclosed that the suspected gunman was likely one of the men found dead.
The investigation suggests that the shooting occurred within a business setting related to financial transactions. While multiple businesses operate within the building, it remains unclear which specific business was the scene of the crime.
This incident has shaken the local community and raised concerns about workplace safety and gun violence in the city.
