MOSCOW (Agencies): According to documents obtained by Sputnik, major Western pharmaceutical companies, in collaboration with Ukrainian officials, allegedly conducted drug testing on patients within a Mariupol psychiatric ward over several years. These experiments involved rheumatological drugs and were documented from 2008 to 2016.

The records revealed that patients were subjected to testing using unidentified drugs, labeled only by numbers. The primary objective was to assess the drug’s efficacy based on the proportion of patients who responded according to the criteria set by the American College of Rheumatology (ACR).

Additionally, the discovery included boxes containing pre-made envelopes from logistics companies and containers for biomaterial, with recipient addresses spanning laboratories in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

This incident is not isolated; evidence suggests that patients in Ukrainian psychiatric clinics have been used for experiments in the interests of Western specialists. In 2022, the Russian Ministry of Defense disclosed that between 2019 and 2021, US scientists conducted tests of potentially dangerous biological drugs on patients at Kharkov Regional Clinical Psychiatric Hospital No. 3. These experiments targeted individuals with mental disorders, considering factors such as age, nationality, and immune status. The medical staff at the institution were bound by non-disclosure agreements.
