ISLAMABAD (Khyber Mail): In a significant development, Pakistan and Turkiye have announced their decision to merge their air-to-air Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missile programs. An official press release from the Directorate General Public Relations Pakistan Air Force (DGPR PAF) confirmed this strategic move, aimed at achieving indigenous capability for extended range missiles.
The collaboration will involve the sharing of technology from the Faaz-2 and Gökdo?an missile programs between the two partners. This joint venture signifies a major step towards self-reliance in defense capabilities, as both nations work together to enhance their air defense systems.
The merger of these missile programs is expected to bolster the defense capabilities of both nations, providing them with the ability to produce extended-range missiles indigenously. The move is seen as a strategic step towards strengthening their defense infrastructure and ensuring national security.
