DUBLIN (Agencies): Dublin is in turmoil as riots erupt in response to a stabbing spree at a city school.
Rumors suggesting that the assailant, responsible for stabbing three children and a woman, was an Algerian national, fueled tensions.

Protesters gathered, setting police and public transport vehicles ablaze.

The police arrested a man in his 50s, and clashes ensued between the rioters and law enforcement.

Riot police attempted to control the situation, but clashes intensified, resulting in assaults on officers.

Police Commissioner Drew Harris denounced the “disgraceful scenes” and referred to the rioters as a “complete lunatic hooligan faction driven by far-right ideology.”

The incident comes amid broader challenges in Ireland related to migrant integration, housing, and public discontent.
